Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha announced the results of the annual plus II Arts and Commerce examination Saturday.
School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra declared the results at the CHSE office here.
The overall pass percentage in Arts stream is 68.79 percent when compared with the corresponding figure of 70.71 per cent last year. Similarly, 74.91 per cent students cleared the examination in Commerce stream this year while 52.61 per cent students emerged victorious in the Vocational stream, Patra said.
Puri district recorded a highest pass percentage of 79.87 per cent while Nabarangpur district recorded the lowest pass percentage of 47.58 per cent in arts.
In +2 Arts, around 2,30,206 students appeared out of which 1,58,378 students passed. Only one student managed to get more than 90 percent in Arts stream. 19,993 students got first division, 26,076 students got 2nd division and 1,12,143 students got 3rd division.
In +2 Commerce, out of 26,984 students, around 20,216 students passed. Three students got more than 90 percent.
Only 4006 students managed to get 1st division, 3734 got 2nd division and 12,470 got 3rd division.
The CHSE had announced the plus II Science results May 19 while the overall pass percentage stood at 76.98 percent this year.
Around 3, 80,707 students including 2,43,000 in Arts, 47,000 in Commerce and 95,096 in Science had appeared for the examinations which were held between March 6 and March 29. The practical exams were held from January 29 to February 8.
