All the colleges under the university will be exempted from the e-admission system that was introduced by the Higher Education Department. On the other hand, the department has issued a notice to the university authorities to formulate its own policy regarding admission.

Khallikote Autonomous University, Shashibhusan Rath Government Women’s College, Binayak Acharya Government College, Gopalpur College and Chhatrapur Government Science College will be under the jurisdiction of the cluster university.
In the first phase, there will be a uniform curriculum and evaluation system for all the colleges under the cluster university.
As the Central government had given its nod for the cluster university earlier, there are possibilities of getting grants from the Rashtriya Uchchatar Siksha Abhiyan.
A detailed project report has been prepared for construction of the university buildings and other necessary infrastructure. Foundation stone has also been laid for the cluster university at Bhanja Vihar.
Despite all these, there were apprehensions about starting the admission process in the university this year.
The notification issued by the Higher Education Department Saturday has come as a relief for the students. However, the exact date of starting the admission process is not yet known.
