Bhawanipatna: A complaint has been lodged with the police against a teacher for allegedly misbehaving with a Class V girl student in Kalahandi district.
According to sources, the teacher of a school in Junagarh, identified as Sanjib Panda, called up the girl to his office room Friday and allegedly misbehaved with her. However, the girl opposed it and later narrated the ordeal before her family members.
Acting on the written complaint, Junagarh police have detained Panda for questioning.
Meanwhile, the locals have demanded an inquiry into the matter and stern action against the accused teacher.
