Bhubaneswar: Several leaders of Congress and Aama Odisha Party (AOP), along with their supporters, joined the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) at a ‘Mishrana Parba’ held in the party office here Sunday.
Welcoming them to the party, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, “Mohammed Shakeel of Aama Odisha Party and Bijay Ojha, along with thousands of Congress leaders and workers of Barabati-Cuttack constituency have joined the BJD today. Their joining will further strengthen our party.”
Praising the Chief Minister, Shakeel said, “Naveen Patnaik’s leadership and personality has attracted thousands of people of Cuttack to join the BJD.”
