Cuttack, Feb 20: Last year’s joint champions Cuttack-A maintained their supremacy in the cricket as they won the OCA U-19 Inter-District cricket title, beating Bhubaneswar-A by 59 runs at the Sunshine Ground here Friday.
Chasing a victory target of 168 runs, Bhubaneswar-A batters did not show any guts to trouble the scorer and folded up for a paltry 108 in their second essay. Barring Debashis Samantray (52) none could stay at the wicket for long. Jamala Ranjan Mohapatra (5/37) again bowled well to script victory for Cuttack-A.
Former international cricketer Sanjay Raul handed over the prizes. The champion team bagged Rs 15,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up took home Rs 10,000 and a trophy.
