Cuttack: A cleaning staff employed at a premier hospital in Cuttack has accused a supervisor posted there of rape, a source said Thursday.
As per the FIR lodged by the woman, she was employed by an outsourcing company at the hospital for cleaning work. The accused supervisor called her on pretext of cleaning a hostel May 7 and raped her.
The FIR further read that the accused warned her of serious consequences, if she informed anyone about the incident. Meanwhile, the victim went to the outsourcing company and described her plight. However, the company failed to take any action in this regard.
Subsequently, she filed an FIR at Mangalabag Police Station.
Notably, the accused is absconding. Police have launched a manhunt to nab him.
