Mumbai: Ranveer Singh–starrer Dhurandhar released December 5; however, within hours, the movie was leaked online.
Illicit piracy platforms uploaded the film in multiple formats, ranging from low-quality 240p prints to full 1080p HD versions, making the title widely accessible through illegal channels. Indian filmmakers have long battled this persistent issue, and despite government crackdowns, new piracy sites continue to emerge as quickly as older ones are taken down.
Dhurandhar now joins a growing list of recent titles that were leaked soon after release, including Tere Ishk Mein, De De Pyaar De 2 and several others.
The film’s ensemble cast has drawn widespread praise, with audiences applauding its patriotic theme, strong performances and Aditya Dhar’s commanding direction.
Viewers, however, have expressed frustration over the leak, fearing it could affect the movie’s box office performance.
The film is earning strong reviews from both audiences and critics, but even as the spy action thriller gathered momentum, it fell prey to online piracy on platforms such as Filmyzilla, afilmywap, Mp4Moviez, CoolMoviez and others.
