Bhadrak: The district planning committee Saturday approved an outlay of Rs 2208.21 crore for Bhadrak. The meeting was chaired by district planning committee chairperson and higher education minister Ananta Das.
Women and child development minister Prafula Samal, MP Arjun Sethi, MLAs Jugal Kishore Patnaik, Muktikant Mandal, Byomkesh Ray, ZP chairperson Dwijabar Rout, Collector Gyanarajan Das, municipality chairperson Manas Kumar Mohanty and many other people’s representatives were present.
The committee reviewed a number of schemes and projects being implemented in the district. Das directed officials of various departments to ensure the benefits reach the people.
The plan outlay was presented by deputy director of the district planning department Ramesh Chandra Mallick.
Rs 185.55 crore was allocated to Panhayatiraj department, Rs 24.82 crore to the water resources department, Rs 11.29 crore to the agriculture, Rs 21. 61 crore to the health department, Rs 91.44 crore to the women and child development department, Rs 30.21 crore to the energy department, Rs 11.17 crore to the SC and ST development department and Rs 23.47 crore to the urban development department.
Besides, the committee has approved an outlay of Rs 13.35 crore to Gopabandhu Gramin Yojna for 2018-19.
