Baripada: Mayurbhanj Collector Vineet Bhardwaj visited various schools Tuesday and talked with students about their problems. It is the first such instance in the district when a Collector taught students.
Bhardwaj’s effort was widely appreciated by various quarters. The Collector visited MKC High School, Lal Bazaar Primary School, Takatpur MTK KGBV and Adarsh Vidyalaya at Ranibhola.
The Collector is said to have taught students Hindi, English and Science in these schools.
During his visits, Bhardwaj observed that teachers usually pay attention to students doing well in studies, but neglect those who do not do well.
“It is the duty of all teachers to give importance to all students so that all can make progress and face the competition. The government has made plans to offer tuition to students in holidays,” he said to teachers.
Bhardwaj also noted that the development of Mayurbhanj can be achieved only when education improves.
Students seemed upbeat after sharing their problems with the Collector.
