Neil is the grandson of singer Mukesh and son of singer Nitin Mukesh. Often, Neil becomes part of some rough joke for his name.
The birthday boy was named by Lata Mangeshkar after the American astronaut Neil Armstrong.
The real name of Neil is Neil Nitin Mukesh Chand Mathur.
Neil made his debut with Johnny Gaddar as the lead actor. The film earned him a Best Male Debut nomination at the 53rd Filmfare Awards.

Johnny Gaddar, however, was not Neil’s first film. As a child artist Neil had also worked in Vijay and Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharnii. Talking about Neil’s film career, he has appeared in the John Abraham and Katrina Kaif starrer New York.
Following a series of poorly received films, he made his debut in Tamil cinema with the majorly successful Kaththi (2014). Neil’s highest earning films include the romantic drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015) and the comedy film Golmaal Again (2017)
Neil is not very active on social media, but often shares his photoshoots as well as photos of his family. Neil’s daughter’s name is Nurvi.
