Bhubaneshwar: In view of the increased demand and to resolve passenger rush following IndiGo flight cancellations, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to run special trains and augment additional coaches in some regular trains towards Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Howrah regions, said ECoR officials Sunday.
Special trains announced by ECoR include Bhubaneswar–LTT special (08401), which will depart from Bhubaneswar December 7; LTT–Sambalpur special (08402), which will depart from LTT December 9; Puri–Anand Vihar Terminal special (08403), which will depart from Puri December 8; Anand Vihar Terminal–Bhubaneswar special (08404), which will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal December 9; Visakhapatnam–SMVB Bengaluru special (08501), which will depart from Visakhapatnam December 8; and SMVB Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam special (08502), which will depart from SMVB Bengaluru December 9.
In addition to special trains, extra AC coaches have been added to regular trains to clear extra rush of passengers. Bhubaneswar–New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express (22811) December 7 and New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Tejas Rajdhani Express (22812) December 8 have been augmented with one 1st AC coach.
Bhubaneswar–New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express (22823) December 8 and New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Tejas Rajdhani Express (22824) December 9 have been augmented with one 3rd AC coach.
Similarly, Puri–Shalimar Garib Rath Express (12882) December 8 and 10 and Shalimar–Puri Garib Rath Express (12881) December 9 and 11 have been augmented with one 3rd AC Economy Class coach.
Puri–Yesvantpur Garib Rath Express (22883) December 12 and Yesvantpur–Puri Garib Rath Express (22884) December 13 have been augmented with one 3rd AC Economy Class coach.
