Mumbai: Since the birth of actor and brother, Tusshar Kapoor’s son Lakshhya, she had always expressed her desire to become a mom herself. The dream of director-producer Ekta Kapoor has finally turned into a reality.
Sources informed Thursday that Ekta has given birth to a boy January 27 and both the mom and newborn are in healthy conditions. Like her brother did earlier while opting for fatherhood, Ekta became a mother via surrogacy. The entire news would have been under wraps had it not been for a tweet by filmmaker Hanslal Mehta, who had worked with Ekta for the web series Bose – Dead or Alive. The filmmaker tweeted Thursday, “Many congratulations and lots of love dearest Ekta Kapoor. Welcome to parenthood and joy,”
It should be stated here that both Ekta and Tusshar are children of veteran actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor. Sources also said that Ekta is yet to name her son which will be done in the next few days. Ekta currently has a number of projects to look forward to – the primary among them is ‘Mental Kya Hai’ – a film starring Rajkumar Rao and Kangana Ranaut which she is producing.
