London: Rohit Sharma’s 138 and half-centuries from Virat Kohli (74) and Shubman Gill (77) went in vain as England beat India by 27 runs in the third ODI and sealed a 2-1 series win Sunday.
After conceding a mammoth 387 for three, India finished at 3607.
Rohit struck 17 fours and five sixes to make 138 off 110 balls, while Kohli made 74 off 60 balls with four fours and three sixes. Gill fell for an 84-ball 77 with 10 fours and a six.
Sam Curran was the pick among bowlers for England, returning 475.
Earlier, Ben Duckett struck 141 while Jacob Bethell made 91 as England piled up a massive total in the series-deciding third and final ODI.
