Bhubaneswar: A fake letter in the name of Government of Odisha Higher education department has gone viral in social media where the additional secretary of department Krupasinhu Mishra, through the letter, informed about extending the retirement age of teachers from 60 to 62 years.
The department official had informed Orissa POST that the letter is a fake one and no such decision has been taken. An investigation is underway to fing out the person behind this fake news.
Few years ago another such incident was reported by Orissa POST in which the finance got embroiled in a controversy in which a fake letter was issued in their name regarding employment. In recent years, many websites of the government offices and institutes are being hacked.
