Baripada: A few hours were left for voters to exercise their franchise in eight Assembly seats and the lone Parliamentary seat in Mayurbhanj and decide the fate of 81 candidates in the fray.
The administration has made everything ready for the fourth and final phase of elections.
Fate of 10 candidates in the fray will be sealed in EVMs in Saraskana Assembly seat; five in Udala; 13 in Morada; 11 in Bangiriposi; eight in Badasahi; seven in Baripada, nine in Rairangpur and 10 in Jashipur Assembly seat.
There are 2,123 booths in eight Assembly seats. Of them, 48 were identified as hyper-sensitive while 138 were sensitive.
For free and fair elections, over 500 CCTV cameras were installed at some booths.
The State Election Commission has deployed 13,962 employees as polling staff to conduct polls Monday.
As many as 16, 80,012 voters will exercise their franchise Monday. Of them, 28, 040 will vote for the first time.
Their votes are said to play a crucial role in deciding the fate of the candidates.
