Keonjhar: The Nayakote police have arrested five persons including the father-in-law for allegedly killing a man at Murasudhan village in Keonjhar district.
While the deceased was identified as Nirmal Munda of Sundara village, the accused were Nirmal’s father-in-law Bhagaru Dehury, Patu Nayak, Nakula Nayak, Guruban Munda and Taka Munda from Murasudhan village.
Nirmal, who has a five-year-old son, often used to harass his wife and beat Bhagaru in an inebriated condition, reports said.
Bhagaru along with Patu, Nakula, Guruban and Taka murdered Nirmal August 14 and buried the body in a nearby forest.
After failing to find Nirmal, his family members lodged a missing complaint at Nayakote police.
The police arrested the accused and recovered the body. The body was sent for post-mortem.
