Finally sweet homecoming for Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor

Mumbai: Exactly after 11 months and 11 days Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor returned to ‘home, sweet home’ here Monday from New York. The two had been away for close to a year as Rishi Kapoor battled cancer.

It was back in 2018 that he flew to New York rather urgently and in his latest interview, Neetu Kapoor narrated how everything happened and how Ranbir Kapoor himself went to New Delhi where Rishi was shooting.

On his return, even though Rishi Kapoor looked a bit tired, he appeared very happy. Both Rishi and Neetu smiled and posed for the photographers and it was quite evident that they had missed India a lot. Rishi’s fans are waiting for him to be back on the sets, but that may take some time, sources said.

Rishi’s friend and companion in New York, Anupam Kher took to social media and wrote, “Dearest #NeetuKapoor and @chintskap!! Here is wishing you a safe trip back to India after being in New York for almost a year. I have mixed feelings. I am happy and sad at the same time. I am going to miss you terribly. We had a great time together. Thank you. Love & prayers.”

It was reported earlier that Rishi Kapoor would be home in time to celebrate his birthday, September 4. However, Rishi Kapoor had to cancel the trip and celebrated a quiet 67th birthday in New York itself.
