Bargarh: A fire broke out at the paediatric ward of the old building of Bargarh District Headquarters Hospital during the wee hours of Monday.
Though the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, fire brigade teams had reached the spot and started dousing the fire. Fire brigade teams suspect that short-circuit may be the reason for the fire break out.
No casualty has been reported yet.
As per the fire brigade team, properties worth lakhs were gutted in the fire.
After two to three hours of effort the team managed to douse the flame. As the ward was only being used for storage of IV fluid and medicines there was no causality reported. The medicines were reduced to ashes in the fire mishap.
The hospital authority is trying to find out the reason behind the mishap.
