Dharmasala: Acting on a tip-off, police Saturday busted a sex racket running in a rented house at Brahmabarada Hat under Rusulpur block of Dharmasala police limits in Jajpur district.
Three persons including two customers and the kingpin woman, running the racket were arrested from the house. The police also rescued two sex workers. Many objectionable items were seized from the house. The police also seized a scooter, a motorbike and some cash from them.
The arrested customers have been identified as Trilochan Jena of Bandhadiha village and Mahendra Nayak of Betanda village while the kingpin was identified as Kalpana.
According to sources, the four customers and two sex workers parked their vehicle in a secluded place and went to the rented house. Locals spotted them and informed the police suspecting their movements.
After getting information, a police team led by Dharmasala IIC conducted raid and made the arrest. However, two of the customers managed to escape. The arrested persons and sex workers were sent for medical examination to Dharmasala community health centre (CHC).
A case was registered and the three were produced in court. The two sex workers were sent to a rehabilitation centre.
