Fog hits flights, trains

Bhubaneswar, Jan 17: Dense fog in the national capital Saturday affected many Bhubaneswar-bound flights and trains, leading to massive inconvenience to thousands of passengers.
The fog resulted in some flights being delayed by more than four hours.
State-run carrier Air India’s (AI 877) New Delhi-Bhubaneswar flight was delayed by nearly four hours and landed at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 12.55 pm instead of 9 am. It took off for New Delhi at 1.35 pm.
Indigo’s 6E 253 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar service was delayed by three hours, landing in the city at 12.09 pm instead of the scheduled time of 9 am. Another flight of the same route, 6E 259, was delayed by one-and-a-half hours and landed in the city at 8.02 pm instead of 6.25 pm Saturday.
GoAir’s G8-161 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar flight was three hours 20 minutes behind schedule, landing at the city airport at 11.34 am instead of 8.15 am Saturuday. The G8-162 Bhubaneswar –Delhi flight took off for the national capital at 12.04 pm instead of scheduled take off time of 8.45 am.
On the ground, the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Sampark Kranti Express got delayed by 13 hours and 41 minutes and was expected to reach the city railway station at 2.06 am Sunday instead of 12.25 pm Saturday.
The New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Neelachal Express was delayed by 10 hours and was expected to reach the city at 12.29 am Sunday instead of the scheduled arrival of 2.55 pm. The Bhubaneswar Rajdhani from New Delhi was running one-hour-45 minutes behind
schedule.
