Bhubaneswar, Dec 25: Foggy weather conditions prevailing in the national capital Thursday continued to affect rail services though there was good news for air passengers with airline services showing signs of improvement as only a handful of flights were delayed in Bhubaneswar.
Low cost carrier IndiGo’s 6E 341 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar flight was delayed by 40 minutes and landed at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 9.35 pm instead of the scheduled time of 8.55 pm Thursday. However, other two flights of the same route, 6E 253 and 6E 259, remained unaffected.
Both New Delhi-Bhubaneswar flights of GoAir operated according to schedule from the city airport.
Meanwhile, the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express (22824) was running 15 hours and 37 minutes behind the schedule because of dense fog in Delhi, leaving many passengers suffering. The train was expected to reach Bhubaneswar at 9.07 am Friday instead of the scheduled time of 5.30 pm Thursday.
The Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (22823) was delayed by more than five hours and left for the national capital at 2.30 pm instead of the scheduled departure time of 9.15 am Thursday.
The New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Purushottam Express (12802) was delayed by more than 15 hours. It reached the city at 4.35 pm instead of 3.35 am. The Kalingautkal Express was delayed by four hours.
