Follow this tips to make your Mehndi darker and beautiful

Mehndi, also known as henna, has been an age old tradition. Women use henna to form intricate designs to decorate their hands and feet to mark special occasions or to simply look trendy.

It is believed that the darker your mehndi, the more your husband will love you. It is every girl’s dream indeed. So, here a few tips to make your mehndi darker and beautiful.

  1. Leave henna for a longer time:

Wash off the henna after 7-8 hours. If you can afford to keep it longer, leave it for about 12 hours. Do not wash with water; instead scrape it out by rubbing your palms together till the dried henna falls off! Within a few hours you will see the rich colour develop.

 

  1. 2. Dab Sugar And Lemon Mixture:

Lemon is a very good catalyst for releasing dye while sugar helps to mehndi in contact with the skin. So you may boil some water with sugar and then add lemon drops. While applying mehandi as and when it dries apply this mixture at least thrice for the dark color. This is one of the best and natural home remedies for make mehndi darker.

 

  1. 3. Apply Balm After Removing The Mehndi Crust:

Once you remove the mehndi crust after it dries off you may use the balms available for medical purposes to help penetration of colour into the skin and leave it overnight. Do not use water after you remove the mehndi. Don,t get panic the balms will solve your problem which can make mehendi more dark.

 

  1. Apply Ghee After Removing The Mehndi Design:

Once you remove the mehndi crust after it dries off you may use the “Desi ghee” to help development and penetration of colour into the skin and leave it overnight. Do not use water after you remove the mehndi. This is the best natural method for how to make mehndi darker.

 

  1. 5. Run Your Hands Over The Gas Fumes Of Cloves:

Once you apply the last round of lemon and sugar mixture you may on a tawa add some 4-5 cloves and let it then run your hands over the fumes of the cloves. That will not only dry the henna but also help the colour penetrate into the skin. However, be careful with this.

 

  1. Avoid Water For At Least 24 Hours:

Right from the time you have applied mehndi till the time you remove the dried crust do not put water at all. So better to do all your household and other work beforehand and then sit for mehndi. This apart even after removal avoid washing hands with water. However, if at all you have to then apply petroleum jelly or ghee immediately after that.
