post news network, Bhubaneswar, April 30: Four students from the city have made it to the final selection list of IITJEE 2015. Abhishek Panda secured 305 and became the state topper this year. Sovit Patnaik (292), Rohit Kumar Jena (289) and Manish Kumar Bera (281) are the other city toppers.
“Making it to the IITs is the dream of every science student. Having worked really hard towards this goal, I was confident of scoring well in JEE Mains,” said Abhishek.
Abhishek gave all credit to his tutors. “Credit goes to the stupendous coaching, which brings the best in every student. The teachers here work diligently on our concepts, making sure we know what we are studying, inside out. However, I am not celebrating yet. I am retuning to my studies with renewed focus,” he added.
Sovit Patnaik was also happy at his outstanding success. He secured the second position in the final entrance exam. “Nothing can be a barrier if you have strong desire to reach your goal. I was determined to secure a good position in the JEE. I toiled hard; as a result I achieved success. Things become easier when you are fully determined. I have to toil hard for further success,” said Sovit.
A student of DAV Public School, Unit-VII, Rohit Kumar Jena brought glory not only for his parents but also for his school. “This is like dream come true. My parents say that there is hard work behind any success. I followed it and got the result. Thanks to my parents. I shall always remain grateful to my teachers,” said Jena.
“This success of our students is the fruit of their hard work and determination. We develop the conceptual understanding of a student in the absence of which students often fail to do well in competitive examinations despite having a good IQ,” said Ranajoy Bardhan, centre head of the private coaching institute that imparted training to most of the successful candidates.
