Sajanagad: A gang of three on two bikes robbed a grocery shop owner of his day’s collections near at Badapol under Nilagiri police limits in Balaswar district.
Sreenivas Behera and his wife Chinmayee were returning from their Shree Bhandar grocery shop on a bike, carrying with them the day’s collections in a bag.
The snatching happened around 10.45pm on the Nilagiri-Kaptipada road. The three waylaid them and attacked Sreenivas from behind with a sharp weapon. They decamped with the cash bag. It contained Rs 70,000, the couple told the police. Police said two bullets were recovered from the spot.
