The Kalinga Motor Sports Club (KMSC) in association with the Nepal Automobile Sports Association (NASA) is going to organise the first Indo-Nepal Friendship Motor Rally 2015, which will take off February 27 from Jagannath Dham in Puri. The 10-day rally will finish March 8 at India Gate, New Delhi after covering up 3,060 kms. The closing ceremony will be attended by Union minister Nitin Gadkari and actor Amir Khan.
Talking about the event, Ramesh Mahapatra, secretary KMSC said that the aim behind the rally is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The rally will be flagged off by Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik. The drivers will pass through the states of Jharkhand and Bihar before entering Nepal.
Thirty teams consisting of four members each from Karnataka, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh along with host country Nepal will be taking part in the event. There will be quite a few participants from Orissa also.
