Girl waiting for school bus raped in City

Bhubaneswar: Khanadagiri police Friday arrested a youth on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl after kidnapping her from near her residence at Dumduma here. The accused, identified as Ramjan Khan,35, of Raghunath Nagar area under the Khanadagiri police limits, zeroed in on the girl when she was waiting for the school bus Friday morning. He picked her up and took her to the backyard of the residence. He raped her and left her bleeding profusely. Later, some of her neighbours spotted the girl who was found unconscious. The locals informed the family members, who lodged a complaint with the police who arrested Khan under POCSO Act.
