Balasore: The headmaster of a high school was allegedly kidnapped at Arabandha village under Nilagiri police limits in Balasore district Sunday. He was returning home from his school after hoisting the flag when he was kidnapped.
Bijoy Das, the headmaster of Arabandha Panchayat High School, was returning home riding a motorcycle after taking part in the Independence Day celebrations at his school. Some unidentified miscreants in a Bolero SUV stopped him and before he could understand anything, they forcibly took him into the vehicle and fled from the spot.
On being contacted, a team from Nilagiri police station reached the spot and launched a probe. They have launched a rescue operation.
While the motive behind kidnapping a headmaster is yet to be ascertained, the kidnappers have not contacted his family members at the time of filing of this report.
