Bhubaneswar: Two dreaded criminals were injured in an exchange of fire with the cops in Balianta on the outskirts of the city Tuesday. The injured burglars were admitted to the Capital Hospital. The encounter was carried out by the cops of Balianta police station. The criminals were identified as Hari Samal alias Mental of Jagatpur in Cuttack district and Lipu aka Sushant Sahoo of Tirtol in Jagatshinghpur district. Two country-made pistols and live bullets were seized from them. DCP Satyabrata Bhoi informed the media that many criminal charges like robbery and theft are pending against them at different police stations.
