Cuttack, May 4: Results of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Orissa would be announced on May 6, school and mass education secretary Usha Padhee informed here Monday.
“The Board of Secondary Education has completed the process for announcement of results. I have requested Board officials to take the next step as soon as possible. With their past experience, they have tried their best to ensure error-free evaluation. I am confident and hopeful that there would be zero-error results this year,” Padhee said after presiding over a high-level review meeting at the Board office here.
Giving details of the results, BSE president Prof Dakhya Prasad Nanda said the results would be announced at 10:30 am in the presence of school and mass education minister Debi Prasad Mishra and secretary Usha Padhee. Results would be available on the BSE website www.bseodisha.nic.in 2 pm onwards, he added.
“We have tried our best to come up with zero-error results this year. In case any student feels there is error in his/her result, he/she can contact the two helpline numbers of the Board — 0671-2412059/2412060 or through the school helpline number 18003456722. We will immediately verify the answer-sheets and do the needful,” Nanda told mediapersons.
He said the Board would upload the results of the objective OMR sheets on the website. “We will inform students about the date of uploading and the website on which it would be uploaded through the media,” he added. The BSE president also informed that the Board would begin its process for the HSC supplementary examinations from the first week of June. The Board would announce the detailed programme of the examination in the media.
Nanda also said considering the difficulties faced by the students at the time of collecting their subjective mark sheets from the Board office, the Board this year has asked the students to apply online through the Board website. “After receiving their online application, the Board would send the mark sheet of the students through their e-mail ids,” he informed.
