Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather bulletin of July 26 said that the well-marked low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts is likely to move northwestwards across north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts.
The weather agency also issued an Orange Warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall for several districts of the state.
Upto 8.30 AM of July 27: As per the Orange Warning (be prepared), heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri and Koraput districts.
As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Bolangir districts.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over south Odisha, north interior Odisha and at many places over the districts of north coastal Odisha.
Impact and action suggested for Orange Warning:
- Temporarily water logging is likely in low-lying areas.
- Traffic advisory may be seen for movement in your destination.
- Possibility of Landslides in vulnerable hilly areas (Malkangiri, Koraput)
From 8.30 AM of July 27 to 8.30 AM of July 28: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir and Bargarh districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of south interior Odisha and at many places over the rest of districts of the state.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 35.0 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 35.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Sambalpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Nuapada, the bulletin informed.
