In this hotel, eat 3 paranthas in 50 mins and get free food for lifetime

Several food joints in Rohtak, which make India’s biggest paranthas, have thrown a yummy challenge to eat three of their stuffed breads within 50 minutes.

The one who succeeds will not only get a free meal, but also be entitled to free food for entire lifetime. Not just that, the joints also offer prizes ranging for Rs 5,100 cash to Rs 1 lakh life insurance to the winners.

Each of the paranthas weigh 1.2 kg.

At a joint called Tapasya Parantha, the challenge was thrown around 10 years ago, but only two people have been able to win it till now. “One was Maharaj Singh from Madhya Pradesh, who visited the joint twice. The other is Ashwini of a village from Rohtak district, who comes often to enjoy the meal,” owner Mukesh Gahlawat said.

These joints offer paranthas in 50 different varieties, with the prices ranging from Rs 190 to Rs 350. “Three to four people show up every day here to take the challenge, but most of them give up after one, or maximum two paranthas,” said Gahlawat.

Most of the visitors at the joint are commuters who stop by seeing large posters of unusual offerings, owing to the location of the joint on one of the busiest national highways, NH-10. “A family of four usually orders one parantha and feel satisfied,” said Gahlawat.
