Actors and actresses of the Hindi film industry work hard on their bodies, their faces and their acting skills. But we often forget their hard work behind mastering the Hindi language. When Hema Malini and Sridevi first came to the industry from the South, they were clueless about the Hindi language but worked their way towards being the No.1 actresses of their time.

But today, there are still many mainstream actresses who have survived at the top despite not being able to speak Hindi properly.

Nargis Fakhri:

Nargis admitted that those lengthy dialogues ruined her performance in ‘Rockstar’. Fakhri was born 20 October 1979 in Queens, New York City, to Mohammed Fakhri, a businessman, and Marie Fakhri, a former police officer. According to the actress, her father was from Pakistan, and moved to the United States for better earnings, while her mother is Czech.

Born as Elisabeth Marie Haydon to a Malayali father and an Australian mother, Haydon lived in Australia and the United States, before moving back to India in 2007 to pursue modelling. Comfortable with foreign accent, it surely must be difficult for her.

Her father, Elroy Fernandez, is a Sri Lankan Burgher, and her mother, Kim, is of Malaysian descent.
