Mumbai: Amid the ongoing war between Israel and Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, the whole world is divided: some are supporting Israel while others are supporting Palestine. The visuals and videos coming from the war-torn areas are bone-chilling. Hundreds of people have become homeless and have lost their lives. The Hindi film industry also seems polarised. Let us know who is supporting whom.
Swara Bhaskar has supported Palestine with her root-cause theory. The actress took to Instagram and wrote- “If you have not felt shock and horror at Israel’s unending atrocities on Palestinians, the forcible occupation of Palestinian homes, the forced evictions, the bigotry and violence of settler Israelis, the murder of Palestinian children and teenagers, the decades-long blockade and bombing of Gaza and civilians in Gaza, including bombing of schools and hospitals (not to mention the apartheid and occupation), then I’m afraid your shock and horror at Hamas’ attacks on Israel seem a bit hypocritical.”
While Swara stood with Palestine, outspoken actress Kangana Ranaut supported Israel. Kangana wrote on Instagram-‘’impossible to scroll through social media and not get jolted, scarred, appalled or deeply disturbed’ looking at pictures of Israeli women being attacked by ‘terrorists’.”
Following the outbreak of the bloody conflict Saturday, actress Gauahar Khan Sunday took a jibe at Israel supporters and tweeted, “Since when did the oppressor become the oppressed ????? Convenient eyesight of the world !!!!! Blind to years n years of history of oppression”.
