Kannada superstar Yash starrer KGF is running successfully even after three weeks since its release. Beating all previous records, the movie has set a herculean bar in the industry as it becomes the highest grossing Kannada movie in the US.
As per a report, KGF chapter minted close to $800000 in the US, which is over Rs 5 Crores.
In its Hindi version too where KGF has made over Rs 40 Crores, being the highest grossing dubbed Hindi film after Baahubali 2, 2.0 and Baahubali. After its super success, the makers of KGF are planning to release the movie in China as well after the amazing response it received in varied parts of Asia.
KGF stands for Kolar Gold Fields. It is set in the backdrop of the late 70s and early 80s. The film traces the gold mining activities running by the mafia in Karnataka’s Kolar region. It features actors Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Malavika Avinash, Achyuth Kumar and Anant Nag in crucial roles.
The movie is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur.
