Paradip: Odisha Vigilance officials Thursday raided the real estate properties of the driver of Kujang Tehsildar on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The anti-corruption sleuths raided the ‘crorepati’ driver, Saishabh Mandal’s three-storeyed building at Tarenigada area Thursday morning. Simultaneous raids were conducted at three other places including his in-law’s house and government quarters in Kujang.
Three four-wheelers, three two-wheelers, gold ornaments weighing 500 grams and Rs 3 lakh cash were seized from his possession.
The value of the unearthed wealth is yet to be ascertained. The search is underway till the last reports came in.
