Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate police Monday said a Kyrgyz woman who was rescued March 23 was free to go wherever she wants.
Chandrasekharpur police had rescued the 31-year-old Kyrgyz national from a flat at 6th Avenue Apartment in Shree Vihar where they busted a sex racket March 23.
Police commissioner YB Khurania said the Kyrgyz woman is free to go wherever she wants and that they are also in touch with Kyrgyzstan embassy regarding the matter.
“The woman is free to go wherever she wants. If she asks for some help including monetary support, then we will surely help her,” he added.
The woman was taken to Capital Hospital March 27 as she was feeling uneasy due to nausea.
The Kyrgyz woman had reportedly landed in India February 25, and was staying in Kolkata, before Somesh Panda, the kingpin of the sex racket, brought her to Bhubaneswar March 22.
