Bhubaneswar, June 28: Cine actor Sharmistha Priyadarshani appeared before the local court here and got her statement recorded before the magistrate under section 164 of CrPC. Sharmistha had lodged a complaint with Mahila police alleging producers and directors of Oriya films sought sexual favours from her for providing her plum roles in TV serials. Subsequently, a case for sexual harassment was registered against producers Bini Samal, Nihar Samal and Subrat Nayak, directors Chandi Parija and Tapas Sargariha and event manager Bapi Jena.
