Puri: The long wait is over for lakhs of devotees who have been waiting for Lord Jagannath to come out of the Sri Mandir in Dhadi Pahandi. ‘Kalia’ fondly called to Lord Jagannath will come down the twenty two steps with swinging ‘tahia’.
Initianlly, Lord Sudarshan’s pahandi started at 8.55 AM and was taken to his chariot at 9.05 AM, following which Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra were taken. At 12.30 PM Ramkrushna and Madanmohan will be brought. The Chhera Panhara ritual will be performed between 2 PM and 3 PM and then devotees will be allowed to pull the chariots.
