Dhenkanal: A major fire broke out at the grid sub-station of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) in Dhenkanal district Sunday morning damaging property worth lakhs, an official source informed.
The mishap took place at about 7:00am. At least 10 fire-fighting teams have been engaged to douse the flames at the power grid near Meramundali area in Dhenkanal district.

No casualties have been reported in the incident so far.
Even though the exact cause behind the fire mishap is yet to be ascertained, a blast in the feeder due to overheating might have lead to the incident, an OPTCL official said.
