Dhenkanal: A man was allegedly beaten to death by four miscreants near Govindpur chowk area here Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Pradeep Mallick.
Family sources said, the deceased’s brother saw four miscreants thrashing Pradeep black and blue while he was returning home. Pradeep died on the spot.
On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
While family dispute is said to be the reason for the incident, Pradeep’s brother Dillip and sister-in-law (Dillip’s wife) were detained at Govindpur police station for interrogation.
