Patna: Police Sunday morning recovered a body of a married youth from his house at Swam Khasapita Sahi of Bada panchayat under Patna police limits in Keonjhar district.
Police said the body of Lal Singh Munda, son of Gamiya Munda, was found hanging with a ‘gamuchha’ from the ceiling wooden beam of his bed room.
According to Meena, the wife of the deceased, her husband had come in an inebriated state Saturday night and started beating her up. After serving him with dinner, she left for her parents’ house in the same village.
She came to know about the incident from the villagers. Feeling guilty over beating up his wife might have drove Lal Singh to take the extreme step, locals observed.
On being informed ASI Sudhanshu Sekhar Jena reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem.
