Boudh: Police recovered Friday the body of a person in a farmland of Jhikeipali village in this district. The deceased has been identified as that of Achyuta Suna of Manmunda Kundamal village.
Sources said, Suna had gone to Palsajora village for some personal work Thursday night. His family members started searching for him frantically after he failed to return home late into the night.
Friday morning, locals of Jhikeipali village spotted a body lying in the farmland. They alerted the police who came and seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. They also confiscated Suna’s bike, which was spotted near his body.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s family members and villagers alleged that Suna had been murdered.
Police have started an investigation and are looking into various angles including that of murder.
