Gajapati: A person was killed in a road mishap near Anusahi Chhak under Nuagarh in Gajapati district Sunday.
The deceased was identified as David Gamang of Satara village in the district.
According to sources, David was on his way to Khajuripada on a bike when a Mahindra Bolero coming from opposite direction collided head on with the two-wheeler.
David who sustained grievous injuries in the accident was first rushed to Khajuripada Hospital, where doctors referred him to Parlakhemundi Hospital. However, he succumbed to the injuries while he was being shifted to the hospital.
