Naktideula: In a shocking incident of human sacrifice, a man killed his wife and cut her palm at Batagaon here in Sambalpur district.
The gruesome incident had taken place October 29, but came to the light Saturday. Police arrested the accused Chagala Sethi (44) and seized an axe which was used in the crime.
The accused confessed that he had sacrificed his wife Sulochana to propitiate a deity, said Naktideula IIC Binod Lakra. Chagala said he had a ‘dream in which the deity ordered him to sacrifice his kids’.
