Balasore: A man along with his son was killed by his own nephew following a family dispute at Kabataghati village under Raibania Police Station in Odisha’s Balasore district, a source said Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Haru Bindhani (father) and Krishna Bindhani (son). The accused was identified as Prafulla Bindhani who is Haru’s nephew.
According to the source, the accused launched an attack on his uncle and cousin Wednesday night following an altercation between the two families in which the father-son duo sustained critical injuries.
Prafulla fled the spot after fatally assaulting Haru and his son Krishna, the source added.
Later, the duo was immediately rushed to Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital in Balasore where the doctor declared them dead after a brief medical intervention, the source informed.
On being informed about the incident, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter.
A manhunt is on to catch the accused.
