Aradi: Jatali Das, a poverty stricken man and a daily laborer from Muan village under Aradi panchayat of Chandbali block in Bhadrak district has appealed the government for financial help to cover his medical expenses.
He has recently been diagnosed with cancer. The sole breadwinner of a family of three that includes his wife and mother, he has not been able to work owing to his medical condition.
According to Jatali, he was under treatment for two months in different hospitals after his health deteriorated. The treatment, meanwhile, requires far more time and financial resources. His inability to afford medical bills and work to raise the money has made things worse for him.
He has appealed the government and charities for a financial help of Rs 40,000 in order to be able to undergo surgery.
