Malkangiri: Maoists killed two villagers in Sirsetti panchayat under Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, bordering Odisha’s Malkangiri district, a source said Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Padam Pojja and Padma Debendra.
According to the source, the victims were brutally killed by the Maoists on suspicion of being police informers. The Naxalites are reportedly carrying out such acts only to instil terror among the tribals in the region, the source said.
The police have reached the spot and launched an investigation.
