Mumbai: The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex)Thursday opened on a positive note.
The Sensex of the BSE opened at 40,211.99 and touched a high of 40,245.82 and a low of 38,587.79 after closing at 40,178.25 Tuesday.
The Sensex is trading at 40,213.76 up by 161.89A points or 0.40 per cent.
On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 11,890.45 after closing at 11,844.10.
The Nifty is trading at 11,888.00 in the morning.
