Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has conferred the first Md. Sikandar Alam Award on noted singer Pranab Pattnaik at the state secretariat Friday.
The CM gave a shawl and a memento to Pranab while felicitating him at a function organised at the state secretariat. After felicitation, the CM paid tribute to Md. Sikandar Alam and welcomed Pranab.
The award has been instituted by Sikandar Alam Foundation in the memory of legendary singer on the occasion of his 79th birth anniversary.
