Kendrapara/Mahakalapara: State 5T Secretary VK Pandian announced Thursday that a mega steel plant will be set up in Mahakalapara block of Kendrapara district. Over 10,000 acre of land spread in 11 villages of three panchayats will be acquired for establishment of the steel plant, he said. Pandian made the announcement during his visit to the district, Thursday on at the direction of the Chief Minister. He also said that the Marshaghai-Jambu road will have six lanes for which Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned.
He reviewed various developmental projects at different places and directed the concerned officials to accelerate the ongoing works and complete projects within the deadline. He also offered prayers at Baladevjew temple, Dadhibamanjew temple and Ramchandi temple during his visit. He held discussions with the members and servitors of Baladevjew temple and asked the district Collector to prepare a master plan for its beautification and development.
